CETTE NUIT, EVGENY KASHKAROV, NATURALISTE ET REDACTEUR EN CHEF DE LA REVUE SCIENTIFIQUE "RHYTHMES" M'A ENVOYE CECI :

Dear Alain,
You makes good deal to light Amur tiger interesting info for the West.

Long-distance migrations still continue, because situation inside the core area is horrible: no food and high level of poaching. WWF is quiet about that and demonstrate the tiger range extention only.

IL M'INDIQUE PAR AILLEURS UNE INFO QUI, SI ELLE SE CONFIRME, EST NETTEMENT PLUS REJOUISSANTE.
Month ago our journal got interesting letter about possible discovery of the Snow leopard in Southern Chukotka. Sounds unbelievably, but author is cryptozoologist and working in this range whole life... I will try to organize expedition in new area in case of fundraising.

A LA LECTURE DE SES INFORMATIONS, J'AI ECRIT A MARIA VINOKOUROVA, DIRECTRICE DE LA COMMUNICATION DU WWF RUSSIE :

Dear Masha,
Evgenyi Kashkarov has sent me this night.
I know all efforts of WWF Russia about forest and wetlands preservation and reconstitution, as well as those of Pavel Fomenko about strenghtening  prey populations of tigers and leopards.
In any way, if chinese and corean borders' pressure  are still strong enough to induce long distance migrations, with all risks included for animal and their potential encounters, there is emergency to talk and do about that.

ET EN PERSPECTIVE...
Situation is radically easier for americans, with no problem of neighbouring.
Kodiak and Affoniak giant bears are 3000, well feed and in good health,  and white head eagles are 600 couples on the same islands... It's like an eastern Kamtchatka.
A single biopolitics for Beringia sensu lato ( Northern Japan included) would be probably the solution.
Best wishes.
