Trois tigreaux de l'Amour ont été observés jouant ensemble en attendant le retour de leur mère, dans la réserve naturelle de "Leopard Land" (sud-est de l'extrême-orient russe limitrophe de la Chine). Amur Tiger Programme, avant-hier.
Footage of triplet Amur tiger cubs playing with one another was captured by a camera trap set up to observe wildlife at Land of the Leopard National Park, the press service of the national park reported.
The cubs, waiting for their mother to return from a hunt, spent several hours in front of the motion-sensor camera, training their fighting and hunting skills.
According to Yekaterina Blidchenko, an employee of Land of the Leopard’s research department, these cubs are now about four months old.
“This is the most playful period of their life, and it is during games that cubs develop the social skills necessary in adulthood,” she explained.
Blidchenko said that each game has its own rules, which all cubs in the litter learn to follow. At this age, they practise hunting elements, simulating parts of real hunts.
Once night fell, the cubs left the area.
