Since 2007, supported by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), more than 600 thousand hectares of valuable forests of Primorye - Bikin, East, Mill and Koksharovskoy nut-fishing zones (IPF) - have been leased for up to 49 years for harvesting food forest resources and collection of medicinal plants.  So in the best virgin pine forests appeared tenants, who are vitally interested in preserving   "Trees-earners" and maximize the benefits of not conducting logging, and integrated development of non-timber resources. In a situation where even the status of protective forests, could not save them from destruction, and cut cedar throughout, such lease a historic event for the forestry and nature conservation.

This year, for the first time after taking a nut-fishing zones in the non-wood forest lease in, come in Primorye this crop year, and began collecting pine nut industry.

But the main problem that exists today in the legislation - is prohibitively large fee for the resource, which makes it cost prohibitive in fact. "

Support at the state level of the integrated development of forest resources of food and medicinal plants, WWF considers necessary condition for the preservation of cedar-broadleaf forests, tiger, and social welfare of the inhabitants of taiga regions of the Far East.
