A large number of skins and derivatives of wild animals including endangered Amur tigers were found in the refrigerator containers.
During the large-scale joint operation conducted by the Police on April 10, a businessman was arrested on suspicion of fraud. A search warrant was obtained for the businessman’s office. Inside the refrigerator containers police accidentally discovered 148 bear paws, 2 skins of the Himalayan bear, 3 skins of the brown bear, two skins and 5 tails of Amur tiger and 5 carcasses of a sea eagle.
A criminal case against the detainee, accused of “Illegal hunting” was launched. The investigation is ongoing.
